NDG Arts Week welcomes a new team to oversee the coordination and programming of the festival.
Seeking to embrace the artistic richness and diversity of the community, the Arts Week festival works to continuously improve. Our new team aims to create inclusive programming that reflects the artistic talent and cultural diversity of the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighbourhood.
Luca Palladino, Director General – Developer of cultural events since 2000, Luca Palladino led the Festival Ville Lecture, attracting 20 000 participants in Sudbury and Charlottetown in the spring of 2016. In 2015, he co-founded the charity Notre-Dame-des-Arts, an organization aiming to promote and support the next generation of artists and authors from the neighbourhood of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. In 2016, he helped in developing the project MINIBIBLIO for the Fraser Hickson Library, the first independent library in Montreal. He brings a strategic vision to event planning, experience in fundraising, a bold artistic direction, and strong network in the world of arts and culture.
Adrienn Lukàcs, Programming Director – Working with the youth for more than 17 years, Adrienn holds two Master’s degrees, including a cinema of intervention with a specialization in animation and dialog of the public through art. For more than seven years, she led the programming of the festival of the rights of the person, Movies that Matter, in the Netherlands. She offers a great experience in the development of young audiences, cultural programming, and in logistics.
René Ricardo Bernal, Communications Director – With a Certificate in Public Relations & Communication from McGill University, René has a passion for social media and marketing. He assists various non-profit organization grow their brand and establish their online presence. For the past 3 years, he has been a vital addition ti the Arts week organization, leading the communications strategy and developing a strong social media presence. He’s invested in the community as a board member for Notre-Dame-des-Arts, a charitable non-profit organization supporting the arts in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.
Paul Cargnello, Spokesperson and co-founder – Believing that song lyrics are just as important as the music, Montreal singer-songwriter Paul Cargnello is the kind of artist who piques curiosity. Merging activism with raw emotion, he has become one of the most prolific troubadours in Quebec during his 12-year career.
